Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult has won a TechWorks Award for R&D Excellence. The award, which is the first for the Catapult, was presented at the TechWorks Annual Awards Dinner on 6th November.
CSA Catapult won the R&D Excellence award for its EVM approach to next-generation power electronics system development. The win celebrates the foundation of collaborations that CSA Catapult has built with industry in its first full year of operation. During 2019, the Catapult has won seven R&D projects and has worked on 43 industrial collaborations. Other winners on the night included Blu Wireless, Signify, Darktrace and Secure Thingz. The evening also included an inspiring after-dinner speech about overcoming adversity from entrepreneur and author Penny Power OBE.
CEO of CSA Catapult, Stephen Doran, commented on the win for the company:
“We were up against stiff competition in a very competitive category. Huge congratulations and thanks to our team and all who were involved in developing this. We are very pleased to have won this as it really demonstrates the value of the work that we are doing with industry. Congratulations to all nominees and winners.”
